Wake Forest University

The Wake Forest University (WFU) chapter was established in 2021 by Emma Coltoff. The goal of this chapter is to conduct organizational research to evaluate design, event, family and support feedback. The WFU chapter has worked to develop strong partnerships with clinicians in orthopedics and prosthetics in the Atrium-Wake Forest Baptist Network and to conduct novel research on 3D printed prosthetics. Their chapter has conducted several 3D printing and modeling trainings for medical school and graduate students who have no prior experience with these technologies, nor with prosthetic design. They also devote a good portion of their efforts to STEM education outreach activities through the Wake Downtown community program.
